When I choose the "remote mirroring destination" option when creating a port mirroring session, it causes you to select a vlan to mirror.
1. Does this capture EVERY frame that goes into and out of a VM, even if the two VMs are commicating to each other on the same port group on the same host? Or does it only capture traffic going into and out of an uplink, and might miss traffic that stays in the port group and doesn't hit the uplink?
2. Does the destination of the mirroring session need to be on the same host as the source vm whose traffic is being mirrored?
