I have many sites where I am using HP 5800 series switches in what they call an "IRF stack". These two switches operate together as a single logical switch. I want to split my iSCSI and uplink ports between these two stacks, but I am concerned it would be making a loop of sorts. Below is a simple drawing of what I am basically trying to accomplish, is this doable? I know I could not connect a physical switch this way, but I am not sure how this would be handled in the VMware world.
