Beacon Probing and Mixed 10 GigE / 1 GigE Uplinks?

Hello,

We would like to take advantage of beacon probing so we can avoid a switch mis-configuration causing a loss of VLAN connectivity on a network link. Currently our servers have two 10 GigE NICs and four 1 GigE NICs. Does anyone have experience with mixing uplinks on vSwitches? My thought is to have the 10 GigE links as active and the 1 GigE links on standby, all contributing to beacon probes.

Is that a valid solution? I understand that it is not ideal, but addtional 10 GigE NICs in our servers are not in the budget right now.
