I went into the vSphere client and added a virtual port group to a dvs. I then went and tried to add a vmkernel port to the virtual port group. The option was greyed out along with the others next to it. I tried it by powerCLI and was able to add a vmkernel port to the host with no problem. However for some reason the option to add networking to my ESXi host is greyed out. One of the dropdowns is not greyed out, but the option to delete a vmkernel port, edit, etc. are greyed out. Any ideas?
