Standard vSwitch – clarification

Hi

I am confused about assigning IP’s to a standard  vSwitch and hope someone can help me with the following questions

1. When configuring a ESXi server with vSphere 5.5 (physical) is an IP assigned to the vmKernel & service console?

     2. Are the ESXi hosts physical NIC’s assigned their own IP’s?

     3. When adding a new adapter (NC360T) to an existing ESXi server (Physical) with vSphere 5.5 installed will 5.5 see the newly installed adapter on restart?

     4. Do I need to install the NC360T driver to 5.5?
