Hi all
I have a load/performance lab at my work , the lab have BC with 10 ESXI host (5.5) ,each host have only 2 NIC card,
Till today the network bandwidth between the BC to main switch was 1GB and now we change to 10 Gb module network in main switch (BC switch not in stack mode so each host NIC Card connect to deterrent uplink interface switch in BC )
*Because its a lab i have no consideration about redundancy ,
Option 1)we are thinking is to split the hosts between the 2 BC switch so hosts 1-5 in IO module 1(up link 10Gb) and hosts 6-10 in Module 3 (up link 10Gb) , VM network ,VMotion, and management network will be on the same nic/switch ,but remember only 5 host on 10Gb uplink network(nice),
2)is to split the rule between the 2 NIC ,so all the 10 host will use 10Gb uplink(from switch 1) only for VMnetwork, and nic2 will use only for VMotion, managment ,etc (from switch 2 10Gb)
What will be the best practice ?
Thanks in advance
