Getting vm port to physical network adapter mapping in cisco nexus 1000 dvs

Hello,

Environment Details:

1. We have ESXi Hosted on Cisco UCS Hardware, with Nexus 1000 DVS for VM Production network.

2. We have NIC pinning at the level of UCS Service Profile.

3. We have 2 Uplinks with 1 adapter for each uplink in the distributed switch configuration at vmware level.

4. Nexus switch is having source mac# as load balancing algorithm.

Recently we faced an issue, troubleshooting of which requires finding path followed by the packet starting from one VM to another VM.

I was able to find the physical path on UCS side and network side, but want to know which network card is used for sending traffic from a vm to outside devices.

I want to know the VM port to uplink port mapping when Nexus DVS is used

Thanks

Monto
