Hello,
I have an umbuntu-based vm that is connected to a vswitch. The vswitch is tagged on the uplink to a cisco 3750. Pinging between a host on the 3750 and the vm works. I am trying to use tcpreplay on the vm to transmit packets towards a physical box that is connected to the 3750. The traffic that I am transmitting is not using any source mac addresses that are known to the vswitch. The destination mac addresses are of course unknown too.
Can this be done in a vswitch environment? I suspect not based upon my research on the web on unknown unicast packets and vswitch. Just looking for confirmation or not.
