NIC Team in VM

We have an application that requires a lot of network bandwidth and I'm wondering how to set up NIC teaming within a VM. The physical hosts have 4 NICs (2 for mgmt and 2 for VM traffic). I'd like to add a 2nd NIC to the VM and team that. Any advice is appreciated.
